Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation

This 2-day workshop outlines the basic body of knowledge that should be possessed by all personnel involved in the installation and inspection of single strand unbonded post-tensioning (PT) systems for elevated structures . 

It also serves as an effective introduction for personnel new to post-tensioning, while at the same time providing support and organization for experienced persons.  The course and study manual are also offered in Spanish by requesting a special request workshop .

  • Full workshop attendance

  • Exam score: min. 70%

  • Field work experience: none

How Do I Achieve Level 2 Certification?

If you already have Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation certification, you can obtain Level 2 Installer or Inspector certification in the following ways:

    • If you originally took a Level 1&2 Unbonded workshop, scored higher than 80% on your exam, you can just obtain the work experience, submit the affidavit, and Level 2 certification will be issued. You have up to 8 years from your original certification date to submit the work experience.
    • If you originally took a Level 1 Unbonded workshop, you may register for a Level 1&2 workshop, attend days 2-3 of a scheduled Level 1&2 Unbonded PT workshop, sit for the exam scoring 80% or higher, and submit the work experience to obtain Level 2 certification.
