This 3-day workshop outlines the body of knowledge that should be possessed by all personnel involved in the installation and inspection of single strand unbonded post-tensioning (PT) systems for elevated structures . New in 2019: this workshop now includes a field demonstration which includes the assembly of an elevated slab with discussion between the installers and inspectors on the key elements to a successful project.

This model is designed to reduce travel expense and allow installers, building officials, engineers, and industry personnel to obtain Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer or Inspector certification. This workshop will enhance the knowledge and capabilities of installers and inspectors and other key personnel involved in the field inspection of single strand unbonded post-tensioning (PT) systems for elevated structures .

If you already have Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation or Inspection certification and need the Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer or Inspector certification, please refer to the table below for attendance prerequisites.

Level 1 & 2 Unbonded PT Installer & Inspector
Workshop attendance prerequisites: None	Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation Certification Requirements: Full workshop attendance Installer exam score: min. 70% Field work experience: none	Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer Certification Requirements: Full workshop attendance Exam score: min. 80% Field work experience: Total of 500 hours, of which minimum 150 hours in installation and minimum 150 hours in stressing
		Level 2 Unbonded PT Inspector Certification Requirements: Full workshop attendance Exam score: min 80% Field work experience: Total of 500 hours, of which minimum 150 hours of installation inspection and minimum 150 hours of stressing inspection
Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer & Inspector
Workshop attendance prerequisites: Current certification Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation OR, Current certification Level 1 Unbonded PT Inspection		Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer Certification Requirements: Current certification Level 1 Unbonded PT Installation Full workshop attendance Exam score: min 80% Field work experience: Total of 500 hours, of which minimum 150 hours in installation and minimum 150 hours in stressing

Change certification types

If you Score 80% or higher on the final exam, you are eligible for Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer or Inspector certification. You are eligible to submit a field work affidavit for either Installer or Inspector (or to be certified in both if you submit field work experience for both). At renewal, you may choose whether to maintain one certification, or both. Please note that renewals require continuing field work experience affidavits.

Scheduled Workshops

The classroom instruction includes both topics. If you do not currently have the required field work experience, you will have up to 4 years after your initial certification to submit the field work affidavit to obtain Level 2 Unbonded PT Installer or Inspector Certification.
