PTI Committees are the heart and soul of PTI Technical and Certification activities. Committees are established by the Board of Directors and are assigned specific tasks related to improving training, certification, design, construction, and installation criteria for the post-tensioning industry.
Board Committees are involved in the general policy making for the institute. They oversee the financial health of the organization and work on interdepartmental topics such as marketing and membership.
Certification Committees are under the direction of the Certification Advisory Board and oversee the creation, management, and revision of PTI's Unbonded Tendon Plant Certification program, Personnel Certification, and PT Systems Qualification programs.
Technical Committees report to the Technical Advisory board and are involved in the development of guides and standards for the PT Industry. Technical committees are divided into two classifications: Material Committees - involved in material specifications, and Design Committees - involved in development of design standards and guides for designers.
